Después de su paso por nuestra Pachuca el emperador mexicano de Kompakt y Cómeme, Rebolledo realizó un set para la serie de mezclas de la revista online Playground, aquí tienen el resultado:

WHO THE FUCK IS MR REBOLLEDO!?
Mauricio "Alvin" Rebolledo nació y creció en Xalapa Veracruz, empezó a pinchar discos en el 2002, ganó notoriedad siendo uno de los residente de la Santanera en Playa del Carmen, donde depuró y desarrolló un estilo particular mezclando tracks clásicos con nuevos para bailar, poco después hizo lo mismo en el Topaz Delux, esta vez en Monterrey.
Al poco tiempo empezó a producir y desarrollar sus propios tracks, llenos de ritmos asperos, asaltos de tambores tribales con sintetizadores tóxicos y estribillos repetitivos cantados por el mismo, llamando inmediatamente la atención de Matías Aguayo, con quien compartió platos repetidas ocasiones en la Santanera, Aguayo se interesó en editar ese material, ayudándolo a desarrollar su sonido y compartirlo con la gente, dando como resultado el sello Cómeme, donde lanzaron como primer referencia: el sencillo "Pitaya Frenesí" que fue todo un hit en los círculos underground, en 2009 lanzaron su siguente single 12" "Guerrero", un particular himno a la noche, techno austero y actitud, en 2011 edita a través del sello alemán Kompakt su primer albúm "Supervatos" una oda al postmodernismo basado en el funk, cumbia de la selva, psicodelía astral, electrónica de las cavernas con la tecnología de hoy pero pasado por un filtro lo-fi, logrando sonido desquiciado y divertido que ha sido ovacionado por la crítica especializada, colocándolo en la cúspide de la música electrónica a nivel mundial. Sus tracks han sido parte de la compilación Total 10 del exquisito sello Kompakt, en el cd de la revista Trax, ha hecho sesiones para medios muy influyentes, la revista Fact de Londres, la americana XLR8R además de haber aparecido en el prestigiado programa radial Beats On Space con Tim Sweeney dueño de la mitad de la disquera DFA junto a James Murphy, ha pinchado en por todo el mundo en solitario o con su compadre Superpitcher como los Pachanga Boys, ahora toca el turno de hacer bailar a la bella airosa como parte de las noches de Noosphere en el club People, Noizedealer estará calentando el dancefloor, pachanga salvaje asegurada!

While much of Cómeme's output could be roughly described as house, that overlooks the elements of techno, disco, funk, and various Latin genres that populate its tracks, not to mention its artists' penchant for bizarre vocals and the music's simultaneously raw and psychedelic vibe. Perhaps no producer encapsulates the label's spirit as well as Rebolledo, whose new album, Super Vato, offers the sound of sleazy, drugged-out Latin disco. That being said, it's the sort of disco everyone is desperate to get into and sure as hell doesn't leave until the party is over.(Vía  XLR8R)

Anyone who has been following the exploits of Matias Aguayo’s Cómeme label, or attended one of his infamous Bumbumbox parties, will be familiar with the name Rebolledo.

The Mexican artist – whose sound is a pungent hybrid of house, techno, electro and avant-pop, suffused with Latin flavour – has earned a sizeable cult following for his singles ‘Bo Jack’ and ‘Guerrero’, and remixes for Aguayo, Zombie Nation and Von Spar have helped to raise his profile. Most recently Rebolledo has been collaborating with Superpitcher as Pachanga Boys and with ‘Pitch and Jörg Burger under the name The Three Lions – you can check out the first fruits of these two projects, the tracks ‘Power’ and ‘You’ll Win Again’, on Kompakt’s forthcoming Total 11 compilation.

You’ll be hearing a lot more from Rebolledo in the months ahead: he’s currently writing and recording his debut solo album, all but guaranteed to one of the best albums of 2011 (you heard it here first). In the meantime, be sure to catch one of his flipped-out live/DJ performances – the more travel-hungry among you will find him playing FACT’s boat party as part of the Stop Making Sense festival in Croatia, September 3-5. Rebolledo’s FACT mix is a charming, chicaning thing, anchored in house and disco but bucking convention at every turn; it features no less than seven of his own productions. Hola internet! ya les había hablado del nuevo capricho de Matias Aguayo en forma de disquera, Comeme, dentro de sus filas esta un mexicano de nombre Rebolledo, hay quien asegura que este hombre firmo el track del año: "Pitaya Frenesi", ahora tiene un nuevo sencillo: "Guerrero" del cual se desprende este vídeo inspirado en la película "The Warriors", creo que Silverio ya tiene un nuevo contrincante, puro electro de las cavernas...
